Realized I’ll mostly be shooting my AR15 from rests or with a bipod so I was wondering if you guys have any recommendations for budget LVPOs, especially since they’ll probably be better for my astigmatism. I was looking at the Primary Arms Nova 1-6X and that one looks like a great deal. What do you guys think

I think Primary Arms is generally the most underrated optics vendor.

I have a few of their optics. Scope, LPVO, Prism optic, and a Holosun 507k green dot w/ their ACSS reticle.

Just really well-made equipment and priced right. And they stand behind their stuff.

Keep in mind they have nice mil/LEO discounts, too.

ETA: I know you asked about LPVOs, but this was my latest PA buy, a 3x Prism for my Rugar SFAR. Such a great optic and works awesome with astigmatism.

$271.99 with mil/LEO

ETA2: This is the 1-6x I have. Another solid choice. $288.99!!

I got a few things from Primary Arms from their red dots, to their FFP scopes. Great designs, easy to use, and great price point for the PA stuff.
Also got a few Holosun red dot/magnifiers combos for my ARs and their pistol line of red dots.

Thanks! I definitely agree. I think the scope looks great for the price and the fact they offer a nice reticle and great features as well as a FDE finish for $300 seems amazing.

I concur. I have my EMT so nice like 13-15% discount. I like the SLX SSF 1-6x24mm and their FFP 4-16x44mm DMR scope for my PSA AR10. I haven’t dropped them or anything like that so I can’t say to their durability, but I’ve shot 400 yard steel with reloaded .223 and 600 yard steel with reloaded 308. I have also got emails from Arken optics that are on sale that I’ve heard good things about too but not much otherwise.

I’ve heard great things about it and the reticle that is actually red dot bright. I have a tacticon 1-6 and it’s aaaaalright.

Pair the nova with their auto live battery cap and you’re good to go for home defense too

I got the SLX gen 4 nova ACSS reticle with the mount for less than $230 before Black Friday. Very good quality LPVO for the price I got it for

Also look into Arken. Not sure how their LVPO is, but I own a couple of their larger optics, and for the price, they are ridiculously good! Not sure how they do it.

Sig Tango MSR 1-6 is the best you can buy on a budget, with fantastic warranty

Primary arms SLX 1-6 is a very close 2nd

Vortex cheap lpvos are not as good as either of the above, low FOV and significantly tighter eyebox

Vortex. Hands down. Recent reddit posts show Primary Arms trying to replace customer's scope with worse scope, and after many attempts to get it right, they put their foot down.....until reddit started blasting them, and forced PA to correct their mistakes.

Their customer service or warranty is not all there.

Buying Primary Arms Scope is equivalent to buying Cabelas Scope.

I had good luck with my Primary Arms LPVO, very good glass and quality. I got a SLx 1-8x24 from them, and it may not be quite budget pricing. You may also want to check out Arken optics, they seem to have good quality stuff in the budget range for the specs. I got an EP5 7-35 and the glass quality and mechanics of it has been excellent for the price range. No experience with their LPVOs, but they seem to be pretty solid for the price.

Another endorsement for Primary Arms. I've owned a couple of different magnified optics from them, and while the glass clearly (ha) wasn't up to the same quality level as some of the much more expensive optics I owned, they were above and beyond adequate as range optics for the price paid.

Update: The vortex venom is on par if not better than the sig tango msr. Watch C_DOES reviews on youtube if you wanna go down a rabbit hole
