First time CCW holder looking for a belt, any recommendations?

Getting my permit soon and I am having a hard time choosing a ccw belt, planning to carry my p365 IWB. So many on the market that it is very confusing... Too stiff, not stiff enough, etc.... I never usually wear belts so this will be a whole new experience for me.

Any suggestions?

On a budget as well, don't care to break the bank.

I went with a Hank's belt, with sale and coupon it came out to about 55 plus tax. Very happy so far, warranty is tough to beat. They unfortunately raised their prices about 15% just before the holidays, and the current promo is oniy 20% off. So I'd wait for a better promo if you can.

If OP is working within a tight budget, he'll probably want something that ticks as many boxes as he can.

Or at least I would.
If it were just one belt they could wear for everyday and could fit semi dressy, I'd probably go with Kore X3.

Maxpedition 'Liger" gun belt. I wear one DAILY and have for almost 15 years. Different colors, as well as widths. They have held up extremely well.

I use the Spec Ops belt, black) rigid nylon. Wear everyday causal and work. Took ar 15 class with 2 pistol mag holders, 2 ar mag pouches and glock 36. 3 day class and have worn it for 10 years.

I REALLY liked kore belts. They're ratcheting belts, but they actually look really nice and doesn't scream tactical. They come in a bunch of different buckle/belt color so you have a lot of options. I like them so much that they're my go to belts even when I'm not carrying haha.

I strongly recommend a quality ratcheting belt.

There are several brands designed for CCW application, I use Kore. I'm very happy with it for all the reasons others have enumerated above.

Two key advantages of a ratcheting belt that may not have already been discussed:

(1) It allows a finer range of adjustment than a traditional buckle, and

(2) it may be discreetly adjusted. If it's not tight enough simply draw more belt through the ratchet. If it's too tight then activate the release whilst controlling the movement.

I can - and have - adjusted my CCW belt with a pistol in an inside the belt holster in public. Very simple, convenient, and discreet.

I like Bigfoot Belts.
Been wearing and carry with the same one for Years..
Has a stainless steel band in between layers of leather

Vedder - been wearing it for 3 years no issues.
For casual day w sweats or shorts, the Hunter Constantine belt. Much better than the Philster IMO.

Good luck!

I have tried many belts..... may be too many, lol.

The top two belts that I like most were the Agilite Gear Magnetic EDC belt (for trainings and outdoor activities) and the Nexbelt Leather EDC belt (for formal and semi-formal wears.)

Belts are kind of personal, sometimes we might need to try them to really know if they fit us well.

Another (y) for Kore Essentials. Great belt, wears well with jeans or slacks and easy to adjust. Gun stays exactly where you put it once you ratchet the belt tight. I would easily have paid $100 for a Kore belt, but luckily, it's only going to cost you $60.
