Just bought the system and have begun to play with it; not an ad, so others can look it up themselves.

Has a target and stand, a little tripod and phone holder, an app for your smart phone, and two options for the laser: a rimless caliber-specific cartridge, and a SIRT dedicated trainer (and holster).

I've been looking at these systems for a while; I don't like the ones that use my actual gun or add a SIRT slide to it for practice sessions. I carry a Glock, and I don't want to have to rack the slide for every shot - I'm not a newbie CEO assassin! There are gadgets that fix the trigger reset problem so racking the slide is not needed, but the ones I know about are not compatible with a laser cartridge.

So, I opted for the SIRT trainer and holster.

And, since I run an RMR, I wanted a red-dot on the trainer.

Time for a kluge. The trainer has a dovetail for accessories; comes with the rear sight installed.

I bought a Sig ROMEOZero red dot (really good sale at PSA) and an adapter plate that accepts that footprint. The dovetail on the adapter is nowhere near the right size, so I epoxied the plate to the trainer and installed the RZ, and adjusted the RZ and the trainer to match aim/impact. It works!

And now I'm figuring out how to use the app. There is a shot-timer drill, a capability I have not had before.

I also have some LaserLyte targets around here someplace (probably in a moving box in my garage) and I'll dig those out, too.

Nearest indoor range is about 25 miles away; I do have a membership, but I still remember 18 cents/round .45ACP, so throwing $1+ down range with each round of defense ammo is kind of painful. (I also have less expensive range ammo, including a bunch someone gave me before I moved out of CA.)

So, early Christmas present, and the little red dots are very festive!

😳💀 Lol.

The trainers are good. I’m a big believer in dry fire, even though I don’t do it. I also got annoyed with constantly racking the slide so it’s nice to have a game. I went with ACE VR but even then I don’t use it all the time. Had the mantis system as well.

I think half the fun, is just having fun with whatever! Glad to hear you’re having fun with the system. Anything that helps the skills fresh is a +.

Let us know in 6 mo if you’re still using it. Haha other half of the fun is always buying new stuff.

Every other day, so far. (Not Alice in Wonderland 'other day'!)

I’m sure I’ll take you with pleasure!’ the Queen said. ‘Twopence a week, and jam every other day.’
Alice couldn’t help laughing, as she said, ‘I don’t want you to hire ME – and I don’t care for jam.’
‘It’s very good jam,’ said the Queen.
‘Well, I don’t want any TODAY, at any rate.’
‘You couldn’t have it if you DID want it,’ the Queen said. ‘The rule is, jam tomorrow and jam yesterday – but never jam today.’
‘It MUST come sometimes to “jam today,”‘ Alice objected.
‘No, it can’t,’ said the Queen. ‘It’s jam every OTHER day: today isn’t any OTHER day, you know.’
‘I don’t understand you,’ said Alice. ‘It’s dreadfully confusing!’

10-15 minutes.

Today was draw from the holster, shoot from the hip, distance 3 feet. Drawing was OK, but getting my shirt tangled as I reholster is a pain. I have done that live at a class, though not concealed.

I've played with the shot timer.

Annoyingly, fails to register some shots; I'll have to look at my camera settings.
