Hi, I'm interested in participating in the late August GSSF competition hosted in Richmond. Is there anything I need to prepare other than signing up and bringing my Glock? This is static shooting at targets, right? This would be my first GSSF event.

Lunch. A fold up chair. A holster . Last year was ridiculous because so many people came. The waits were very long .

Yikes. Sounds about right for the Bay Area haha. Do you know why in the registration process, the amateur class does not give an option to register with a Glock 34?

The Richmond GSSF match is the largest in the Western States with more than 500 entries over the two days in its peak.

Show up early, sign in at all the stages, have your magazines loaded, place an X by your name and be ready to shoot.

Sunday is typically the lighter day, but getting there early is key. While you’re waiting to shoot, help tape. Bring food, water, sunscreen and a chair.

A 34 is only legal to be shot in Competition per the rules.

I'm curious, are these events spectator friendly? I'd consider a few hour drive just to watch.

Totally, but bring your guns, magazines, ammo, and wallet as once you see it you’ll want to shoot. Unless it’s changed, RRGC even has some bleachers to sit on.

Can anyone help me get a contact with the GSSF people?
