That wasn’t the issue. OP wanted a custom barrel and a comped barrel to be provided/fitted by TTI. He expressed his interest in wishing/having Atlas do the same and I explained Atlas is no longer in the business of custom work or providing additional spare parts for their guns such as if you had an Artemis and wanted an Erebus comp and barrel sent to you, they wouldn’t do that.

Dark Forge sells a double barrel package for their Reaper so that’s an option

Not the impression I get at all. Why would you want a small amount of people (competition shooters) who put real high round counts through their guns vs guys who barely shoot them and just post pictures of them with their watch on Reddit and social media. A lot less problems to address when the guns don’t get shot.

then why do they only make competition guns? every single gun they make has a competitive division it's made for, the only kind of exception is the Nyx which they say is for "everyday carry" but it weighs 38oz. Like I said, I don't really know Im just assuming based on watching their videos but Adam will often make jokes about the new trends that other builders are following. But also as I alluded to before, a competitive shooter knows that even at atlas requires maintenance and tuning so a guy putting 50k rounds on a gun may actually have less warranty calls than a guy who shoots 150 rounds a month and then makes a social media post because his atlas jammed when he used a magazine with a bent feed lip. The larger market is a double edged sword, the "looking for a 2011 to carry" crowd may buy a lot of guns but they are also a huge pain in the ass and buy guns based on how they look and how many ports and comps they have vs their real world performance.

Because they make 2011’s and that’s what’s hot right now. They have the EOS too, as I said it’s just a flex or they like to collect nice things. Not gonna carry let alone compete or shoot them much. Just like Infinity too I would say the vast majority are never going to see a competition. You got guys posting their quarter million dollar infinity collections because they collected the whole color scheme set. The ports and comps and how they look are what’s selling in 2011’s. Atlas just did a video of how they have 3 new guns in the works. All ported or comped, 2 of them with 2 barrels to go non comp/port.

They had a Nyx and custom carry 3.5. If they’re serious about getting into the carry 2011 market though they really need to figure out a slimmer solution - maybe with a new mag design. I regularly carry my Atlas Ares, but it’s still sometimes a pain and I default back to something more melted or just lighter like a staccato C4X or Wilson edcx9.
