2025 Projects?

Finish upgrading my Tavor X95. Already did Geissele Trigger, trigger pack, manticore Optimus forend, Meprolite M21 RDO and surefire rifle light. Need to get a Manticore folding charging handle and gas port sealing kit, and the IWI Pistol Grip (not cutlass). Everything I need is back ordered.

Upgrade my SA 1911 EMP with tool steel parts, Chen mag well , grips, etc.

Buy all of the bits, turn table vise, etc I need for my new mill so I can start practicing slide work for RDO, sight cuts and fancy French borders, checkering, etc.

Next year I want to learn to do parkerized finishing and spot welding.

Its a dirty secret but welding well is actually super easy and basically an insane super power to glue pieces of metal any size and shape together in whatever configuration you want.

I love welding in spite of not having done it for over a decade.

Nowadays you don't even need shielding gasses for flux core

I’m top heavy on projects.

I may let some really good items go in the fall to finance the completion of things I’ve been trying to wrap up for years. I just need to decide what I really want to keep, and what I may move. An example is a high end custom precision rifle that I just can’t bring myself to buy a worthy scope and rings for. And, I have some pistols too nice to shoot but would be worth a lot to collectors.

I actually started my 2025 project a bit early (mid-2024) but never really got around to finishing it; which is downsizing my collection.

Sold off an AR-15 last year, and two handguns this year. I have 1 more PPT this year and debating whether or not to further downsize before the end of 2024...
