Question 556/223 deals in east bay area?

Heading to BLM this weekend and don’t have enough time to order online… any good deals on 556/223 in the east bay right now?

I’ve only shot 556 before. Anything I should be aware of when running 223?
 
If your barrel is chambered for 5.56, you can safely shoot .223 Rem without repercussions (but not vice-versa) and probably won't notice any difference unless you're shooting competitive matches that require tight groupings.

Local stores probably won't have the greatest deals if you're in a pinch. Turners Outdoorsman has 5.56/.223 for roughly .62 ppr before sin tax, but you may want to look into Sportsman Warehouse in Brentwood or Bass Pro in San Jose for deals...

I’m not sure if they’re still around but there used to be an ammo manufacturer in Petaluma called Load X. They had some good prices if you bought in bulk and would give a good discount if you brought in once fired brass for them to use when making your purchase. It’s a bit north of you but when I used to shoot a lot of expensive and oddball calibers it was well worth it to me to do large purchases and drive there to pick up all the way from Fortuna.
