Is there a connection b/n caguns.net and calguns.net? (Aside from both being about California guns)
 
Welcome. No. This is basically the spiritual successor of CalGuns. The Developer of this website probably saw a demand for a website like this because CalGuns was having issues operating.

The relationship is closer with r/CAguns on Reddit. A generous member donated the site to us because they hated the original name and it kinda just made sense. The sub helped with the specifications of the site.

Calguns had issues for years, I got laid off and had time while I was waiting in the hospital during my Dad's cancer treatment. Good news he recovered and this site helped me keep my spirits up then started taking a life of its own because the issues never got resolved over there.

The other difference, they are hardly working and we working hard, sir.. It's a bit ridiculous when I think about how many man hours I put in all aspects of the site, maintenance, and building up our presence over here in NorCal. We add what people want to see as well and stay in our lane. This site can never be what Calguns was, but they also can't be what we will grow to.

Sometimes it seems to me that the members of both are as connected as the Hatfields and the McCoys. ;)
