Approved: Auction Listings.

So I recently found via the report system that Auction type Listings are now allowed? In the classifieds.

I reported a listing where the seller priced in the title: 15-65$ for said items, but in the content itself it says $10-100, you send a tell of what you want, and he prices it accordingly out of his ass.

This user is in various other sites, and his prices goes up by $5 or so for a item when inquiring from different sites. I inquired about the ctr stock with riser and he gave me 4 different prices from $45 to $85 for it.

This is essentially an auction listing, and since the mods of this forum isn't great at figuring out the ambiguous listings, I guess Auction Listings are allowed. Good to know.

I expect y'all mods to accept future auction listings from either myself or others and accept it as it is. Or it is some BS favoritism showing on this forum and it won't be a good look.

I could say wth, but instead it’s interesting to me that this post is so much more descriptive than the actual report.

This is what you reported and that was my response. How in the world you jumped to favoritism for a new account with no badges and 16 posts is beyond me.

Please be direct when you report something.

This so much more clear and to the point . Jumping to an auction was the last thought since the price range was given.

An actual silent auction is $1 for a gun and DM me your price, which isn’t allowed.

If you’re going to make assumptions, make ones based on what you see us actually doing. ArmoryHQ.com is being up built along with TexanArmory.com. TexanArmory has grown to 400 in a week and I’m onboarding that group and don’t have a lot of time to figure out cryptic reports.

The report function is there for a reason. Ironically, this post got reported too but hey, let’s see what the community think about it.

Should we require price list? This is what I think you’re asking for.

This becomes more mod involved which isn’t something I wanted to do to police things, and I would have to open up more moderator slots. It may be the right step because the community is growing rapidly so let’s turn this negative sentiment into a discussion to see if we can get something good out of it

Id appreciate it though if you’d be a bit less dramatic and more direct.

So we don't have to list out the prices of what is being sold?
I can just post a pic, make a post title "15-65$" and just tell users to tell me what they want and I give them a price between "10-100$"?

I've been trading, buying, selling private party mostly last many years, and I am pretty certain that is not how a listing is. Take gafs for example. But I guess I was confused on what is allowed here. My bad.

You guys help me decide what to do here. We pull a lot of rules from different places. Ultimately the person updated the price after being called out, and we had this discussion.

Here, suggestions are open and welcome for discussion if you think something is not right or should change. GAFS requires a picture with username/date, we don't do that here because we have other kinds of blocks in place. If there's suggestions to improve the community, those are contributions that can help make this place better.

The people here that offer good suggestions and community support get implemented with little hesitation, even if i don't agree. I'll give it a shot or make a compromised depending on the technical aspect of it... Rules we can develop over time because we're still figuring some things out.

That's a raffle.

Instead of 3 options for pricing....

Just put Price Range: $×-×××××, and a separate option to remove any $amount and give buyers a notice "Call (PM) for Pricing."

Sellers then price their items out based on who they like or don't like ( like this will happen if there is no rule to itemize a listing.)

If you want to have auctions use a seperate sub-forum and make sure the poster has the rules clearly posted. FALFILES does this and it works fine.
