AZ non-resident CCW Timeline Insane Timeline

In Arizona with the permit you can carry in restaurants that serve alcohol as long as you don’t consume. At least that’s what I was told.

Just wanted to share my Arizona non resident ccw status
1. October 28th 10:30 pm - Filled out application
2. October 29th 10:15am - Did fieldprint fingerprints.
3. October 29th 11:30am - Status changed on permitium. Seems like they processed fingerprints
4. October 29th 1:15 pm - Received message Arizona CCW approved and was going to be shipped

Couldn't believe it
That's a terrible response time. You should call and complain.

I just did my Arizona nonresident CCW.

8/25/2026- Submitted app with my CCW and shooting qualification. No special Arizona class.

8/26/26- Field Print finger prints.

9/17/2026- Approval notification (email/ text)

Just waiting on the license in the mail at this point. Cost me like $72.

Have had my AZ permit for a while, just did the second renewal not long ago and it was efficient as always. Have had a few work trips down there over the years so it was kind of a must have.

On the most recent trip this past April I was walking from the hotel the half mile or so to a downtown (Tucson) morning meeting, and one route option was a shortcut through a city park. At the park entrance the following was posted on a sign: "Carrying of firearms in this park is limited to persons who possess a permit issued pursuant to Sec. 13-3112." That's the AZ CCW statute. Gotta love a state with logical laws... OK you passed a background check and got some training, and we issued you a permit, so we're now going to treat you like an adult and trust you.

True but a lot also have a no firearms sign at entry. In az the sign holds alot of weight too.

Same here. Once I got my California CCW, immediately applied for my Arizona CCW filled out the application, next day got my fingerprints, Arizona CCW was in my mailbox week later. Pretty much covers close to 40 states.

I applied for the AZ CCW and got approved the day after I did my prints. Took 2 days... it's really insane that people in CA waited years at one point to get a CCW.

AZ has a dedicated processing unit. Fingerprints go straight to them too, unlike the DOJ in CA + individual IA’s.

Almost like small government works better, faster, and cheaper than layers of bureaucratic 💩 cake
