BLM near Ventura

Hi all I normally go to the Piru outdoor range or the indoor range Shooter’s Paradise in Oxnard. Getting tired of range fees. Anyone know of any public land near Ventura where I could shoot recreationally? Thanks!

Last time I checked no target shooting in Los Padres National Forest. It like Angeles are considered "urban forests" close to cities.

Gang bangers pretty much shut that down years ago.

I remember hearing of a spot were shotguns were permitted with limitations. Near Magu base, along Calleguas Creek. Not sure if it’s still allowed or how to find out
