Canik MC9 Prime and other MC9 Models

Does anybody have hands on experience with the MC9L and MC9LS?

Grabagun had the MC9 Prime on sale today for $649 but it's already OOS. Considering the other MC9s are on the roster I have some degree of optimism that the MC9 Prime will be added to the roster sometimes.

I have an MC9LS. Wasn't gonna wait for the Prime cause I already have an xmacro. Highly recommend the MC9LS. It's a soft shooter and the recoil impulse is the same as the G19.3.

I managed to get a MC9 Prime via PPT. It's absolutely worth it.


I think the MC9LS is a great ccw gun for the money.

I agree! I installed the 90 degree flat face trigger on mine to eliminate some of the pre travel. Definitely worth the $60.00 upgrade.

I like how fat and wide the trigger shoe is so your finger is consistently on just enough trigger. Sometimes with a slimmer trigger shoe like Glocks I find my finger placement to be less than ideal.

It really eliminates some of the shooter errors.

What trigger are you referring to? I have the MC9 and MC9LS. the slides are interchangeable so it’s like having 3 guns.

Rival trigger from Caniks site. I got the gold one like my other Caniks. I put one on my SFT so same trigger and feel as all my other Caniks.

I got to shoot the Prime in Hawaii August last year. That was the only gun I really had to have in more than 30 years. Got one and not disappointed like it more than my Sig Xmacro.

How much did you pay for the PRIME if you don’t mind me asking?

I will jump in here- I paid $900 without mags (they were 17 rounders) from an LEO and happy to pay it. They did not have 10 rounders at the time and do not know if they do now. But called MagShack and told me the ones that worked. See in the pic below.

Yes they have Prime 10 round flush mags now on Caniks website full black or a FDE end piece. Wait for a major holiday as they often 20% discount everything, but are SUPER slow in shipping.

How much did you pay for the PRIME if you don’t mind me asking?

I paid $1000 and it was well worth it. To build a P365 that’s just as good would cost more

I just picked up the Canik MC Prime in the Bronze. Have not had a chance to run it yet.
