Most people here have firearms, of all people these aren’t the ones… that’s why we provide training too. It’s not like jewelry on eBay which is the same thing and likely an easier target. Most of us train for self defense and the primary purpose of why I do what I do.

I literally have the best shooters in the world coming to CA to train you or anyone here. We have more coming later. We also have CCW matches to prep people who have CCW and want to test their EDC. Usually people go after the weak on FB, but you’re kind of exposing why we shouldn’t make it anonymous because you can still say the same thing. Also search doesn’t work for non members. We’ve added additional privacy rules there. A lot of information is blocked from the public. Feedback is not viewable either

Respectfully, are you building a web portal destination, when the internet is begging for a search engine? AOL vs Google?

You wouldn't be the first builder to be dismayed that your userbase is using your creation "wrong". Criminals can create accounts as easily as honest people. You think all your users are world class shooters primed to defend themselves at any moment? C'mon now...

it’s not wrong, but I think some jeweler on eBay is an easier target and you missed that you can’t search by price if you’re not logged in. Try it. Log out. Id say a high % of users here own a firearm, a criminal would be much better off doing a smash and grab at a jeweler vs registering here to search for someone, talk to them, and meet up with them at an FFL. There’s actually very little PII here. I think you’re stretching. It’s also easier to search on FB or whatnot or any of those markets for much more expensive goods, like camera equipment, jewelry, electronics, that’s a lot easier to resell with a larger market.

There’s 35k people registered here, there’s 2 that say it’s a problem. I think you’re overestimating your position.

And to be honest, you just mentioned the reason we don’t delete things. By far the main thing we see are scams.

This is why I built out this section, you now have access to world class shooters to teach you at affordable prices at varying levels.

We also have been doing well in the forums btw. I’m able to see site traffic which is why I’m building out each section.

Classes are also almost full. 🙂 While I understand your limited use of the site, the site caters to a wide range of people. You’re locked in on one specific thing but please, log out and visit the site. I think you’ll see we take privacy to another level compared to what’s out there.

I dunno... seems like your tin foil hats are shinier than mine (love ya @Warpspeed). Letting established users scrap 2 year old posts is probably not the end of the world for the community you're building. But it could end ~somebody's~ world if they get targeted as a soft source of firearms. Most accounts have low numbers but I've seen some whales on here...

This specific thing matters to me. I know it's members-only access and that's still not foolproof. And it's a small part of everything you're building, and I'm happy your classes are filling up. You've built a great thing here.

You can delete your data. I literally just built it, but after that you can no longer use the site. It’s all automated.

The other part is a retention period I’m working on to satisfy any other issues. I think you’re missing the big picture where we don’t want to get shut down. We have to have some things in place. There’s a lot of things you can do. Feedback is voluntary and a lot of people don’t leave it. If you are a buyer and seller marks sold, if you don’t get feedback no one in public sees it.

Feedback is optional, not mandatory. If you are concerned, just don’t leave feedback. If it’s marked sold, they no longer have it or might’ve been sold elsewhere. All these things are voluntary for you to build trust within the community.

Ultimately please be patient, this system is getting quite complex. I already have things in the pipeline for later as we build up funds and our user base.

Btw, i think what you want is for the listing to expire. That’s not eligible for feedback. Once it expires it’s removed from public view.

I actually just got an idea from this discussion that might work for all of us. Stay tuned

Well, it’s good to deal with people that have a strong feedback in the first place. We ain’t Craigslist here. Neither should we have it like its Craigslist such as ghosting, flaking, scamming, and no-show.

But then yet again; you could still get the same result with feedback more than 5 if the person doesn’t mind ghosting, flaking, or no show; with no form of formal prior or post communication explaining the situation of why they are backing out…

New here so forgive the newbie question. I have a 1st gen Micro Roni (braced). I noticed Flux systems are a no no on the rules. Wasn't sure if that's because of the brace ban hence no braces allowed or was it specific to Flux. Admins please advise.

Flux is not allowed, Micro Roni is not allowed.
 
I have mixed feelings. It's a convenient way to mark it as sold, but it's also convenient to be able to research prices. Comps if you will, I'm on some patch groups and it's helpful to see what others have sold similar patches for.
