Requiring sign-in for those sections is the most effective tool we have. It takes a minute to register, it's free, and it keeps what happens here between actual members.

Suicidal Tendencies. Oops, I just leaked out more personal info. Dang
I saw your mom and your mom is dead, to this day I still love to play it to those that have no clue lol.
I always start with how can I smile to those that never never heard the ST's, hella funny seeing there expression following that with mom is dead.

Im still not sure what the rule is on x-posting, e.g. if I have a item listed on other forum, can I post the same item here. If I have an item listed on GB, can I post it here possibly with a lower price etc?

There's no B/S/T in the forums. Period. You have to create a listing and upload a picture of the actual item. There's no links allowed

Understood, I meant for the listing, are you allowed to post items that are listed elsewhere? I believe cgn has some exclusivity clause for their marketplace, so wondering if this place has too.

No exclusivity clause here.. Just no links. You can list it, as long as its legal to in CA

Take a screenshot of where you’re putting in the title. It’s likely you’re putting it in the description

Question about pricing:
I'm seeing some ads with $1 price tag, but in the description the seller wants people to send him offers. This is more akin to auctions. Would something like this be allowed? Or do they need to post a reasonable price with "OBO" in description?

No this is not allowed, please report adds that you see with this.

Are we allowed to add links from google photos of the actual items as additional photos?

Hello! Welcome to CAguns.net.

In this article, we'll go through the best practices for listing an item here in our Classifieds sections. By following these best practices, the experience will be better for all the visitors and also create consistency in our listings.

Some basic non negotiables:
  • Marketplace Rules & Guidelines
    1. No Stock Photos
    • All listings must include original photos of the actual item for sale.
    2. Pricing Requirement
    • Every item must have a price listed. No “Make Offer” or “DM for Price” listings.
    3. Magazine Compliance
    • Any magazine listing must state whether it is CA Compliant/Blocked in the description.
    4. Prohibited Items
    • FLUX systems are not allowed.
    • 80% receivers/frames are not allowed.
    5. Listing Integrity
    • We reserve the right to remove listings at our discretion.
Do not edit or remove the title, description, or price after a sale. This helps maintain transparency for buyers and sellers.
    6. Commenting on Price
    • No negative comments or discussions about pricing.
    • However, users are allowed to leave emojis in response.

  • Step 1. Navigate to the Classifieds section. Do NOT create a listing in the forum.
    • Once common difference is we're not like Calguns. Our Classified system is a space in itself.
    • Here once you create a listing, a thread in the forum will be created so people can discuss.

  • Step 2. Create a Listing

    • Click Post Ad in the top right corner.
    • View attachment 448
      • You'll notice the little boxes. This is a members only feature that allows users to change the display type, from list, grid, or tile views.
      • Disclaimer: This may change as the site grows.
  • Step 3. Choose your Category

    View attachment 447
  • Step 4. Create your listing.

  • This is fairly straight forward so I'll highlight the important parts.
    • Title - Location: This means to put the title - city or location you are making this offering
      • eg. Mantis X-10 - Richmond
      • Title = What you are Selling
      • Location = City
      • This makes it easy for people to read..
      • Choosing WTS - automatically adds the prefix
    • Example:
  • View attachment 735
    • Images - Use landscape format (Horizontal) 16x9 aspect ration for best results.
  • View attachment 449

  • Other relevant info

    • Now that you've created your listing. You'll see some tools that you can use.
      • Bump - allowed once per day. This will be changed as the sites gains more traction.
        • Press the button, no need to make a post
      • Add Faq for other MISC questions
      • Close - The listing is no longer available.
      • Mark Sold - The system will list the item as sold and change the item type.
      • Add Transaction is not really necessary but good if you're mailing something and want to be very thorough.
    • View attachment 450

    • A discussion thread will automatically be created on the forum side for people to navigate to. People can discuss the item freely, but please report any comments regarding price. We only want the discussion to be about the item listed.

Thanks for getting this far! Let me know what you think in the comments below!

Doing these small things, will make it significantly easier for people looking for your things to find.
Not familiar with "bumping" an add, what does it do? Move it to the top of the add list, so to speak?

Sorry if I missed the Question / Answer

There's no minimum post, but you can't request deposits as a new user unless it's paypal goods and services.
