BUT, as I mentioned previously you can configure it however you like and it only takes up one spot on your permit. For those of us with only 3 allowed on the permit it gives quite a bit more flexibility

That’s a very good point, I’m considering putting it on as my third because of this. I hate that we have to choose in the first place, but right now it is what it is.

Be sure that your IA allows mods. Some document the exact status of your firearm. Even adding an Optic afterwards is an issue with them.
