Due to popular demand and a lot of back and forth. Users can lock questions/comments/emoji's with an upgraded account. This should help with the issues we've seen by people who do not like the emoji's or comments, they can lock them.
This does not affect existing reactions/emoji's on listing but will lock any new reactions from being added.
Thank you for supporting the site. We find that this should be a good balance for people who want to leave reactions but aren't able to. At least the person who has the higher price is supporting your free usage of the site, feature development, our latest marketing (banners & sponsorships) and merch push.
The feature I think many are are looking for and so are we as we continue to grow and costs continue to expand is data management. We are working on automated systems that will automatically remove sold listings after a period of time. We want to keep records only for a period of time so the community can use the information for price discovery and also to ensure community integrity. Some people don't like this, but they are in the minority. Every poll we've done shows that people want to keep prices and listings available by significant margin. However, I understand we don't want this available indefinitely and we're working on that and will be available to ALL members regardless of tier. If you want things to move faster, please consider an account upgrade. We only do donations and provide the platform for members to communicate and tools to manage that. The site is entirely donation and ad based. Those who donate open access to features you fund and when we build up enough funds, we make bigger changes.
We've done relatively well with holding off scammers, now most of them are messaging to WTB listings. We still have some enhancements we're working on here. The recent implementation of the restricted accounts seem to reduce issues.
As of this announcement, all emoji's are available for use. Sellers can upgrade to lock the reactions to prevent emojis and comments.
We'll keep trying to build the CA 2A community in the hopes we can all eventually coordinate to make positive changes with laws that affect us. In fighting is not helpful and being rude to one another just because it's online is also not helpful. Let's work together and keep building. I'll do my best to continue to provide access to training and updated information. Whatever else I'm not able to do, the community has been helpful in filling in gaps and more than I can provide as an individual.
