Because the rubber grips were Fugly and uncomfortable.

It's a Super Blackhawk Hunter in .41 magnum.

I've been looking for a pair of stags that won't break the bank for my .41 Blackhawk.
 
Who on earth installed those rubber grips? Those are as ugly as Maxine Waters.
