In order to help distinguish new accounts, only paid/verified accounts will be able to change your avatar moving forward.

We'll likely add some more of these restrictions. We've noticed an influx of accounts that come in and upload an avatar to feign real users. From this point, new accounts won't have the ability to change them. Existing accounts unfortunately will also not be able to update them from here.

I hope this doesn’t have anything to do with me I just recently uploaded my avatar picture and Im a new member here. It’s the same profile picture and user name from my other accounts I have online. Calguns, castboolits, mewe, fb and a few other sites

It's not with you specifically.. You're in before the change. We had a string of scammers come in and we're looking for ways to provide the community with some things to look out for. It starts now, but in two years, no avatar means less reputation. When accounts burn their reputation, they lose grandfathered features on their account.

You can adjust it, on mobile light touch the avatar when you upload it and move it around it’s sensitive so do it slowly to get the size and angle you want. Best be on a tablet.
