Gunsmith Simulator (video game)

Any gamers here? I've been a life long gamer, and came across this today. I realize it's just a game, but I'm wondering how close it is (if at all) to real life. I've seen some videos, looks pretty neat to try out. I'll never be a gunsmith in real life, so my knowledge is limited here.

Agreed, always. But this is a nice little cheap alternative, albeit just a virtual one. I might check it out.

Has anyone bought this and tried it out? For $25, I think it's a bit steep (but yes, still cheaper than IRL gunsmithing) - I've seen these simulator games go for like sub $10 a year or two after release (I feel like there's a simulator game for everything now!). Imagine if they have a VR version!

Yea but this is a simulator I would like to actually try. It's on sale now actually, the DLC bundle.

Seems lile a good way to practice before taking apart your own firearm. However tbe question that was posed is it realistic begs to be answered. I guess we need a legitimate gunsmith to play it an answer. Seems cool though..

I want it to be realistic to the point that if you don't cover the spring after removing the rear plate off the slide of the Glock 17, your spring will fly and you'll need to spend the next 30 minutes looking for it.

I played the demo they had for the game a year or two back and the roster for firearms is somewhat limited to about 20-25 guns last I saw on Steam. The mouse controls back then was somewhat atrocious because for click-dragging parts was a toss-up between zooming in onto the part itself, rotating it in several directions, or moving back onto the gun mat to look at another part. If you're itching more for a game about disassembling/reassembling a gun into its smaller parts, I suggest World of Guns Assembly, if you want a game that scratches a huge itch about gun safety, play Receiver 2 and die due to holstering your Glock 18 too fast causing it to send a round through your leg, run through a brush that cocks the hammer on your Single Action Army and have it slip and shoot you, or panic as a shock drone flies in a mad dash at you while your Hi-Point C9 jammed on the 2nd round as you try to malfunction clear it.
