question for the people out there with high round counts on 10mm and using optics...which optics are you guys using? How's it holding up to the recoil of the 10mm? I've seen a few threads with people complaining about optics coming off, screws not holding, etc.

Just mounted a holosun to my glock 20sf....haven't had a chance to shoot it yet so hoping for no issues but just curious to what others out there are using and how it's holding up...etc.

I just picked up a Glock 20 so I don't know yet, but since you have the SF does that mean you got the slide cut vs MOS? I have found that the quality of the mounting screws and fit to the recoil lugs is the most important thing, seems like most optics can handle recoil. Direct mount via a custom cut will be the best in that regard. I wonder how much the extra recoil ends up actually effecting the optic on a magnum pistol anyway becuse the slide should be travelling near the same speed as a 9mm if the recoil spring is the right weight I would think.
 
My G40 has been wearing a Vortex Venom since I got it. First one failed (Vortex replaced it no questions). Second one I dropped the gun and landed on the optic smashing it (Vortex warrantied it (replacement) no questions again.

It's been wearing that for several years now and no issues.

I think it serves a functional purpose as well, preventing lint and dirt from getting into the fire control through that hole.

Man, you got me jealous. I just got back from DROS'ing one of these. Just in time too, all the FFL's around me are sold out, except for one that had three (now two). Can't wait to get it. I've always been one of those "I'll never buy any gun with a mandated LCI or Mag Disco" guys, but some of these newer guns getting added to the roster are nice and really tempting. LCI's are becoming less obtrusive, and mag discos really don't seem to affect trigger quality too much (like on the old Hi-Powers). This one finally broke me lol.

Can't wait to pick it up!

Congrats. I love shooting the 10mm. Such a fun and accurate gun.

While the mag disconnect for this gun doesn't affect trigger and mags drop freely, i have to say that I'm seriously thinking of removing the MD from my roster echelon 4.0C because it prevents the mag from dropping freely.

I guess it's just how the manufacturer implements the MD since my roster XDM 3.8" will drop mags freely.

I was in the same boat... Then the Echelon and M&P 2.0 10mm came along...
