Kimber 2k11 pro comp issue

I installed my new MJD grip with a egw sear spring and when I test the trigger the hammer does nothing. I tried with the original sear spring and same issue. I put the gun back together in its original form and works just fine. What’s happening?

Honestly it could be several different things. Grip safety not fully disengaging, sear spring needs adjusting, ect. Hard to say without having the gun in hand. I'd check to make sure the grip safety is actually fully disengaged when you're pressing it, check that your thumb safety is able to fully disengage as well. If either of those is just slightly still blocking the trigger or sear, if could be enough to not let the hammer fall. Try backing off the over travel screw in the trigger if there is one, see if that makes a difference. You can try adjusting the disconnector leaf on the sear spring (middle leg), if that's not properly tensioned it could not be functioning properly.

Is the flat part at the bottom of the disconnector behind the back of the trigger bow?

They should honestly be known as the block G3 because that's what they feel like in our hand. Never been a fan. Ultra reliable and tons of aftermarket, but I just hate shooting them

Make sure your sear spring is in the right position, it is really easy to not get it lined up correctly and that will cause the problem
