Hey everyone,
We wanted to share a quick update about listing titles. After chatting with @ikeo1, we’ve decided that while we recommend including your location in the title (because it helps people spot your listing faster), it’s no longer a requirement. With the growth of the site and our more robust search system, we won’t be manually editing titles to add locations anymore. This change will help us streamline the process as listings and users continue to grow.
However, we could really use your help. If you come across any sketchy or illegal listings, please report them. We keep a close eye on things, but sometimes stuff can slip through for a short while. If anything seems off or might cause problems, let us know right away.
Even though the new region and sub-region filters do the heavy lifting now, adding a location to your title makes it easier for people to find you quickly. Keep in mind that guests or unregistered users don’t have access to these filters, so they’ll still be relying on the title or description.
