Wow! All of this drama from a fender bender. There’s so much to digest here…Of course, there’s always 2 side to every story, but from what I can deduct, the shoot was defending himself. However, the level of force is definitely not justified. Unless, new details emerge that he reasonably feared for his life. Getting punch is probably not going to fly.

The shooter did everything he’s suppose to do, after the shooting. Makes me feel like he had a CCW permit or at least has done some serious research about CCW.

Considering how long it takes some of us to get a CCW in this State and more specifically the Los Angeles area how did a 21 year old already get his?

Use of force must be "reasonable" and "proportional". It Looks like a bad shoot, but the investigation will determine this. Sad.

Cant even tell from that video. So anything is speculation. However. If he didnt have a ccw he is in deep to start. But the self defense situation is if you felt you were "in fear of great bodily harm or death."

Great bodily harm is a Grey area but if he was undersized and thought fists were going to fly to wear he would be beaten sevely that is by definition great bodily harm.

Sadly this whole situation didnt even need to happen especially over a car. Worse situations have been handled better.

Video shown on the news doesn’t show a whole lot. Sounds like the shooter tried to say the deceased did something to provoke.

Sounds like late night shenanigans. The later the hour, the more stupid people become. I worked graveyard shift 10 1/2 years.. I've seen some ake during that time.

Those two-into-one drive-throughs create drama sometimes when people don't take their turn properly. I can see this getting really ugly if neither party backs down.

That lady got the whole thing started when she got out of the car to start recording her video. But from the portion of the video that was shown, I’m not seeing a reasonable fear of imminent death or great bodily harm. While I normally support standing your ground against aggressors, this guy probably should have just driven away and left the Big Mac and fries behind.

Sounds like someone isn’t being completely honest. I can’t make a determination on who, but one side says the victim jumped in front of his fiancé to basically shield her and a witness says the victim was punching the shooter before being shot.

Not implying being punched justifies deadly force but those are still two completely different stories.
