Looking to buy a rifle at sportsman’s. The tax kicked in and shocked me. First time buying a gun when there wasn’t a waiver on tax sale. I’m hoping someone has better internet skills than me and can hook me up with a code.
 
They do have a "Sale" on their home page. Not sure about other promo codes. Do you still have any of their rewards points left if you have account with them.
 
It’s a tikka t3x super light and is on sale for $824 but comes out to $999 after local and state taxes. No Dros or anything.
 
Sometimes you can get 10% off purchases if you a credit card account. It usually doesn't apply to ammo, not sure about firearms

You can apply for their card at the time of purchase and they will take off the discount if you're approved. I wasn't approved but they still gave me $50 that I had to use right then and couldn't apply towards the gun purchase so I got $50 worth of ammo.
 
I went ahead and sucked it up and bought it. I used my HR 218 ID as an alternative to the FSC and then sportsman’s said retired law enforcement exempt from the excise tax and refunded the money. Crazy, I had no idea. Also, while I enjoy it what a ridiculous carve out to put in a law.
