Question Need advice re: Santa Clara County CCW Question

I only have one easily concealable pistol (P365) and the rest are full-sized range toys. We are allowed 3 pistols in our application. Would it be smart and prudent to list 2 additional pistols just to fill the 3 (even if I don’t plan on carrying them) and just apply for amendments later if/when I add more concealable pistols in my arsenal? What I’m trying to get at is does changing a pistol in my CCW have a faster approval process versus adding a new one in (if I only listed one in my original application)?

I would add at least one more incase your 365 is down for whatever reason at least you’ll have backup carry and leave an empty slot incase you buy something you like to add or wait until you renew your permit and make changes to your permit guns

Things to consider:

• Does adding another pistol to the permit take forever? There are horror stories around about it taking months or a year, or only being possible during renewal. If it is very hard to add later, you may want to add as many as you can at the initial application.
• On the other hand, you may have to qualify with all the pistols listed on the application/permit. While doing the shooting is probably easy, it may require a holster for each of them. So you may have to waste money on two extra holsters that you are not intending to use in practice.

Bullet point #1 - yea, that’s what I was curious about and wanted to see what people’s experiences are with Santa Clara county. I think I’ll just add and qualify with all 3 and just amend as needed
