Hey thats great to know , i took apart my platypus and took out the firing pin and unscrewed the little screw behind it to put my SRO but then when i put everything back together my rail is much heavier to rack what can that be fromWhy not just post your questions here and get answers from us YouTube Certified gunsmiths.

The right-side screw might be too long, pinching the extractor and causing the slide to feel stuck or overly gritty.
Edit: right side optic screw.

Just put in shorter screws and see if that helps.

I don't know that what you wrote above is worded correctly as there should be no difference between pulling the slide back with the hammer down against the slide and vs pulling the slide back with the hammer down against the slide and the trigger pulled.
When you say "hammer down", do you mean hammer down on the slide or hammer cocked back away from the slide?
Did you mean to say that the slide is easier to pull back when the hammer is cocked than when the hammer is down against the slide?
On 1911/2011's, the hammer rests on the back of the slide when the hammer is down.
This is done on purpose to keep the slide locked-up longer before the slide cycles.
It's NORMAL for the slide to be harder to pull back when the hammer is down on the slide because you are pulling TWO springs instead of just the recoil spring when the hammer is cocked.

Remove the optic.
Remove the hammer stop, firing pin and extractor.
Reinstall the optic.
Look down inside the extractor hole and see if one of the optic screws is sticking into the extractor hole.
If the screw sticks into the exatractor hole, shorten the screw until it no longer sticks into the extractor hole.
This is normal gunsmithing work that's required when screwing something on to a gun.
The screws normally come extra long so you can trim them to the exact length that you need.
