I’m not aware of a 9mm that’s the same size and weight of a BG 2.0 while holding 10 rounds of more. Care to share?

Most micro nines are pretty damn close. I'd rather have a Ruger Max 9 then a bodyguard 380 if I'm carrying for self-defense. I'll take the very very slight difference in size for the difference in terminal ballistics any day of the week

Based on my research there is a midnight bronze and burnt bronze option coming for the shield x and BG 2.0. I forget what the exact option was in terms of being carry comp or not, but that seems pretty close to FDE and should make a lot of people happy. I’ll probably pick one up

I love both of those bronzes. Wish they had the M&P compact in that because I like the magazine cross-compatibility. A bronze Shield X might change my thinking.

Maybe it's just a difference of opinion on intended use case or something. Even the Ruger Max 9 as small as it is is still a bit larger and over 50% heavier.

For shootability out of a small and maximally concealable gun you can almost literally forget about, I think the BG 2.0 has a strongly defined niche. Once I'm creeping up on nearly 20 ounces unloaded like the Ruger Max9 is, that's getting into almost compact carry gun weights in 9mm that I'd rather carry for better performance, ergonomics, ballistics, reliability, etc.

Ruger Max 9 doesn’t shoot anywhere near as well as the Bodyguard or Shield Plus/X. I’d anticipate we start to see more Bodyguard 2.0 copies in 380 based on its success.

Being that I have never shot or even held The bodyguard I'm probably not at Liberty to have made that comparison, but it was more from a ballistic standpoint than anything. I have an LCP in an LCP Max and the only time I would ever consider carrying them over one of my other micro 9s would be if I intended to keep it in my pocket only. But they're kind of like cell phones. We started out with huge ones and everything was done to make them smaller and smaller until the point where you couldn't even type on it cuz the keyboard was too small. I kind of feel the same way with guns at a certain point. They get so small and the site radius is so short that they become incredibly difficult to shoot accurately even a short distances

I see a bunch of bodyguards ( pc and regular) newly on the roster. I know what TS stands for… does anyone know what the other letters are for? Wondering how they are different

From what I gather, TS means "Thumb Safety", but sometimes they write out "Thumb Safety" where applicable. It would be nice if they made it clearer.

Ok but there’s hundreds of videos of people shooting it accurately online and you can put a red dot on it if you so choose

There’s certainly a point of diminishing returns on size, but red dots do at least make sight radius not an issue anymore.

But, I get not everyone wants a red dot on a potential pocket pistol.

Sort of an arbitrary distinction, 380 is just light loaded 9mm so you can load the same round in 9mm if you really want. 380 has only about 60% of the.muzzle energy of 9mm though

I bought a p365 right after it was added to the roster. Hated the standard grip mod and upgraded to an xl grip mod after my first range trip. I rented a BG 2.0 a few weeks ago and have one in jail right now. It feels bigger in the hand that it is and fits my hands far better than a standard p365.
