I have a Nikon Prostaff 5 3.5x-14x50 that I bought in 2014 and recently did some cleaning, lapped, remounted on a set of Burris Signature Zee rings, and re-zeroed. Apparently, the recoil for 308 is a bit too much or 16lb-in torque is not enough where the scope shifted and caused some scratches. I thought the scratches are on the scope tube but turned out that the scope actually scratched the rings. :eek: Too bad Nikon don't make rifle scopes anymore. They're good stuff for the price.
