P226

Glad you finally admitted the obvious fact. It is easier to service the modern-era handguns than 1911.
I wouldn't even say it's easier, just slightly less time consuming, by mere seconds. Not in any way that matters. But I guess some people in this thread think you're gonna have to field strip your gun mid firefight to replace a broken part, and therefore the extra 10 seconds will get you killed. Man we got some badasses on here, I could never imagine being in such danger that 3 extra parts of a gun would be so scary.

Why go with the cheap knockoff when you could get the original recipe?
I like a sweet 1911 but this is a bit like saying why train in modern mma when you could study the ancient art of tai chi or karate to prepare yourself for a fist fight

The Sig Sauer P226 MK25 is the best all around handgun ever made. That is all.
Since we're talking about the 226, does a red dot make it better or worse?

I have a P226 Extreme and I keep going back and forth on optic. The purist in me won't mill the original slide. So my option the is the Sig slide with romeo x pro which can be had for under $600.

Also, I have to believe that if the mk25 were still in the hands of socom they would all be running dots.

Thoughts on this version?
