This will be geared towards those few folks out there that do not yet have a P365, are considering one, but may not be able to determine which one.
Sig P365 Grip Frames. I compare some of the different OEM Sig P365 grip modules (Micro, X/XL, Macro) and the Wilson Combat grip modules. Focusing on the difference in length, width and feel of the different grip frames.
I know when I was looking at snagging my first P365, I had zero idea which one to get Micro/X/XL or Macro (or any of the other models like Legion etc.). I wound up getting the OG P365 with the Micro grip frame and spent a few bucks getting the different grip modules to see which one I like most.
TLDR for those that would rather read about it than watch the video:
Micro: Super small, best concealment. Even with longer mags, grip feels short and less secure.
X/XL: Middle ground. Slightly longer, pinky can stay on, better control while still concealable.
Macro (short): Largest frame, most control, least concealable.
Macro (Long): Same Grip length, but longer dust cover and slide/barrel.
Wilson Combat: Thicker, more aggressive (but not painful) texturing. Doesn’t shift in the hand like as easily as OEM grip modules because of texture and palm swells. Optional tungsten weights can be added to help with recoil or balance. Drop-in install, no fitting required.
My take: Carry: I’d use the X/XL for the balance of concealment, capacity & control.
Range/home: The Wilson Combat Macro is excellent, feels more secure, and I prefer it overall when concealment isn’t the top priority. If you’re thinking of upgrading but don’t want to spend $$$ on an aluminum frame, the Wilson Combat polymer modules are a fantastic value.
