Pasadena PD Shoots another Officer while Playing with Guns

Officer has not been fired and is facing no charges, must be nice. Good thing these guys are exempt from all the laws.

All I see are 5 diversity hires so yeah no one's getting fired. But how dumb do you have to be to flag each other especially with live guns.

My guess, that’s just a temporary technicality as he recovers. And they deal with workman’s comp.

And nothing in my post suggests that. In fact, it alludes to the opposite point that there is a failure in leadership by advancing folks who think this is an acceptable behavior.

At the same time, as an individual in a leadership position, one can only wonder what this clown has been teaching his subordinates.

I was stream of consciousness tallying wasted time. Interactions with specific types of people that behave in a manner that is counter to a healthy organization give me a headache. Sadly, that is the foundation of what I learned as a child watching my various family members progress throughout their careers as members of some LE organization.

The reason that is relevant is that too many people in this thread give up their individual power and autonomy to someone that isn't with the program.

The idea would be work on yourself above all, and maybe bite back at that person from the frame of reference they have/will act in a manner the organization needs to prune.

Worse, organizations that are essentially deemed failed that the public has to deal with. Just distance from any interaction with those if possible.

Take a look at the officer who pulled first. His sleeve shows one chevron with an inset diamond. He’s a training officer. Rooks can’t “distance from any interaction” with them.

Pasadena is 100% Latino? Because I couldn't help but notice all 5 of the officers in the video were. Diversity is great but If meating the quota means lowering standards then the city isn't safe. You are definitely not safe in a city where officers think its funny to point loaded weapons at each other. I dont care what race they are as long as they are qualified for the job. And they just made themselves all look bad.

According to Google they make up 34% of the population. So 1.7 out of every 5 offers would reflect population. Again im not saying that any certain ethic grouped makes better officers. Just that we all know affirmative action lowers standards. Regardless these two officers should both be embarrassed and fired for violating the most important rule in handgun safety.

1. Google says Pasadena is 33% Latino. This video probably doesn't reflect the total demographic of the police department unless that police department only has 5 people in it. If there are 15 officers in the department then these 5 officers are a perfect reflection of the demographics of the city.
2. You just implied that the presence of 5 Latino officers means "lower standards" than if they were white officers.
