Pinkgate (BLM land in SD) closed for fire season

At least for the one in San Diego, I've only seen them extend the closure if it's a very dry year. I haven't seen them open it early. This closure happens every year due to fire season
 
Thanks. I decided to email the Media Contact listed. I want to dive in and see where and how these decisions are made.
 
Media contact punted. "The decisions regarding fire restrictions are made by the Field Manager in coordination with the US Wildland Fire Service. Restrictions can be increased, eased, and lifted as conditions on the ground change. If you would like more information about these, I recommend reaching out to the Field Manager." I've emailed the Field Manager.
 
Seems no matter where blm is shutting stuff down for fire season. I’m in az and pretty much mid May to mid sept all public land is a no go. Forest to blm.

So I do most of mine when open and do so weekly. I don’t care for ranges or indoors.
 
Received a response: "Determination of fire restrictions is largely guided by computer programs that analyze temperature, wind, and vegetative moisture levels. Those data are then reviewed by fire program staff and compared against personnel availability to create staging plans for deployment of those staff and equipment based on risk analysis. My role is to review the recommendations and sign the documents that implement and rescind the restrictions." Nothing about if/how many times they'll revisit the decision in a season, so I'll follow up.
