RDS with Halo at the edge of lens

I took a RDS course where we got to look through all the different RDS that each student had on their pistol. There was one brand/model where an illuminated halo was lit at the edge of the lens, but wasn't visible if you saw the red dot. It was to help you find the red dot, if you were either tilted too far up or down, or panned to far left or right. Anyone familiar with this type of RDS?

Holosun HS507C X2....I have the one with the chevron instead of the dot....on all three of my carry guns.
