I installed and tested the Machine Craft Replicas R8R optic mount for the Smith & Wesson M&P R8/TRR8 revolvers. Very niche product that you don't hear much about. For all two of you out there that asked about it, here you go! Lol.

Build: 7075-T6 aluminum, excellent fit & finish, screws are pre-Loctited.

Install: Direct swap with the factory rail, comes with all hardware. Took under 5 minutes.

Performance: Held zero after ~250 rounds of .357 Magnum/.38 Spl. No loosening or shifting.

Profile: Much lower than just stacking an optic on the stock rail. Still sits too tall for co-witness with factory irons.

Optic Tested: Holosun 407K (with plate), worked well, almost on target at 25 yds right out of the gate.

Downsides: No co-witness with stock irons, holster options are limited.

Price/Value: $109, shipped quickly. Honestly cheaper than machining the factory rail. Overall, highly recommended if you want a red dot on your R8/TRR8.
