Staccato, old is new again.

So, I was a long time 1911 .45acp shooter, carrier, advocate; especially before advances in 9mm self defense ammo.

I’ve always preferred the 1911 over all other designs (I’m older) and remember when “plastic” guns became all the rage. I have carried for work/CCW Glocks for a number of years (mostly .40 cal) and they gained a place as a very competent tool for me.

At the end of the day though, I still love 1911’s even though I do not shoot .45acp anymore.

Saturday, I came full circle and bought a Staccato HD P4. While not a 1911, it feels like one and holding it brought a smile to my face. Can’t wait to shoot it! Old is new again!

If you had no problem conceal full size 1911s, you won’t have issues conceal and carry P4. Solid do it all gun.
To me, personally, it was a little too big and a little too heavy, I sold it for P4.5 as range toy and kept C3.6 for ccw

Yeah, no issues carry full-size guns. All about belt and holster tbh.

Wanted the biggest gun I could carry so that I have a soft shooter for the range, etc.

Actually prefer the “Glock 19x” size for carry/range.

On a side note, once I get this I usually shoot on BLM land. But I also go to Discount Gun Mart off Moreno Blvd.

You've begun the addiction, welcome. There's a whole wide world of 2011s for all kinds of use cases and budgets. If you're a big classic 1911 fan something like an ACW Quantico HiCap might be more aesthetically your preference.

Buying a 2011 actually renewed my interest in my 1911's, which I've had for many years and hadn't really been shooting them much. Now I'll be taking them to some matches and shooting them in L10 & SS. Gonna try out that Major scoring and having to reload every other target

Single Stack will be the CMC Power Mags. L10 I have a mix of CMC Power mags and both types of Wilsons. So far I'm preferring the Power Mags. They're shorter, easier to load and reload and I haven't had any issues with them over the years. Unfortunately, they're very hard to find locally (impossible) so I grabbed some Wilsons. Wilsons you gotta really smack em to get them to seat. CMC, much easier.
