Thank you all for your kindness - I am worried about my brother and his family, they seem pretty discouraged and really depressed right now, of course I understand but its hard to see them like this...I offered to have them stay with me but he still works in that area and it would be a 4 hour a day commute back and forth, such a hard situation...Newsome should be fired 1000%

Tell your brother I heard there is a master Google Doc sheet on the web, I am not sure where to find it. Apparently people are adding their gofundmes to it for the general public to view and donate.

Did he have insurance?

He never replied about insurance, I could help. I’m helping my mom who legitimately lost her home. His gofundme has had no action which is weird, especially in this time of need. Idk, seems sus to me and Inhate to feel that way.

Maybe you can help me understand… gofundme charges 30 cents and 2.9% per transaction, right? Give, send, go charges 30 cents and 2.7% per transaction. Seems like both sites state that is for the processing by third parties.

Is the problem with who created it?

I have never created one, my brother did since my mom and sister DID lose everything in Altadena.

Ohhh lol

I mean, it’s not surprising. Idk, I’ve never used it before but the city shut off water preventing people to try and save their homes. My mom is now homeless, my childhood home is gone, the neighborhood is gone. People are desperate.

All I know is this, what insurance pays for a home rebuild is irrational when compared to current market costs. Everyone is fighting to make it right now, feel me?

This is where I grew up, all the red? Gone. Sorry man, just very angry about what’s happened.
