Hope I'm posting this in the right forum?
Anyhow, I have a Tikka T3X Lite and I had Boyd's build me a Claro Walnut stock, with "high gloss" finish and what I received was a fairly boring looking stock, with a very low gloss, almost satin finish. I decided to remove their finish and finished it myself with Tru-Oil. The only real issue was, I struggled to keep the Tru-Oil looking even throughout the checkering, and although most who have seen the stock think it's great looking, and tell me I shouldn't chase perfection, but that's just not my style!
So with that said, who would you folks recommend for a classic sporter style high comb wood stock, with some checkering, rosewood forend and grip cap, etc.
Have any of you had good results with Richards Microfit?
I've also messaged Accurate Innovations to see if they offer something for my action, as they don't list any Tikka models in their "request a quote" drop down menu.
