Went to pick up a gun yesterday at CA guns and ammo in Corona and was told their dros was down, they hoped it would be up within 72 hours. Checked today, same thing, only was told it was at the 48 hour make and they hoped to have it fixed soon.

Anyone know if it's just them or a system issue, just curious and annoyed as now I have to wait longer due to availability to pick up.

Either the didnt pay thier DROS bill or they didnt renew their COE.

First time using them, it was nice that there was no line like other places, but now having to wait longer than the required CA time sucks. I have no idea when I will be allowed to get my new toy. 😏

Rather wait a little on front end in line than waiting on back end past the asinine 10 day period tbh.

I just logged into the DROS entry system without any issues so DROS entry system is working fine.
What is more likely is that your FFL did not pay some bill on time or get some paperwork filed on time and now your specific FFL is locked out of DES.

I did a transfer yesterday, it’s either down for everyone or it’s up for everyone.

Unless like BONCUTR said they screwed up on their end.
It's very rare that the whole DROS system is down.
It has happened, but its quite uncommon.

There is also a new rule DOj made, where is dros aren't cancelled by the 31st day or delivered, they account will be locked until they address it, maybe they did this?

April fools day rule?
Oh crap.
I just went and read advisory 178.
Did you see how it says that a whole company's DES access is tied to every store.
Some Turners dude is going to slip and all turners stores are going to lose DES over this.

I hope the DOJ doesn't do April fools jokes
The advisory is dated 3/24/2026.
It does go into effect on 4/1/2026 though.

What this really does is forces dealers to either deliver undetermineds on day 30 or cancel the undetermined DROS on day 31, leaving no option to deliver those undetermined DROS after day 31.
