Went to the Vallejo Gun Show today and....

...there were no guns! I should've asked, but I just got some reloading stuff and left. Anyone know what's going on there? Was it just Crossroads screwing up or a city dispute, or is this the future of gun shows in CA now? Very odd. Only firearms I saw for sale were black powder and BB, some folks had guns that said "not for sale display purposes only." Well, actually there looked to be like five or six that the hosts at the front were selling, but as I said, just got my stuff and left.

I went last year and it was the first time since I was a kid.
Bought a couple oddball mags I wanted but over all a depressing waste of time.

I know what you mean, they're definitely funky, but when I was just getting into C&R it was nice to see a bunch of weird old guns and put my hands on them. Got a great deal on an old H&R Sportsman and a Norinco 22 auto (Browning knockoff,) at this very show.

I talked to a guy who used to be a vendor there. He told me that there's some penal code that states gunshow vendors need an ffl (of any type) in order to sell guns at a gunshow, and that the state has only recently started enforcing it. I'm guessing that's what all the "display only not for sale" signs are about.

It used to be a good place to get military surplus rifles, but now even that aspect of it is dead. Picked up some good rifles from there the past couple of years.
