Where in SF to meet, to sell a long gun?

Let's say, for the sake of argument, one were wanting to sell a long gun in San Francisco, and one didn't want to have prospective buyers come to one's house, or in a car. Can anyone suggest a location to meet that would be safe for both parties involved?
In the past one might do this sort of thing in the parking lot of Pacific Rod & Gun, but that ship has sailed (as they say). And you can't really do this in a Starbucks . . .
Any suggestions?

Try your local PD parking lot. Make sure to call ahead and tell them you're coming.

You'll need to go to a FFL to transfer the firearm and do the paperwork. If someone is selling anything here in person, please report the listing. That's absolutely not allowed.

It's been quite a few years since I've sold a gun; it certainly was legal then. It must've changed since then.

Well, it's legal to sell a gun now. But private party transactions need to go through an FFL. SInce you need to go to the FFL to do the transfer anyway, might as well do the inspection there. Lots of people do the inspection in the parking lot, others inside the FFL shop. Generally, people will make an offer, conclude any negotiations and agree on a price online based on the photos and the seller's representations about the condition of the firearm. If it turns out the firearm was not in the condition advertised, buyer can walk away before paying and completing transfer. All completely legal.

What you can't do is just meet someone and hand over cash for a firearm without the involvement of an FFL, background check, etc. That is felony territory in California, none of us want to do it or to know about it, and if anyone is proposing that please (1) don't do it!; and (2) notify the administrators so they can block them. Life is so much nicer when you aren't in jail.

I usually do it in the parking lot of the FFL I'm using to do the PPT. (Private party transfer) Buyer usually pays FFL fees. Firearm is stored there for 10 day wait.

There is no gun store anymore in SF, I think San Bruno is the closest place to do a PPT.

The only way FtF cash & carry works in CA now is if the gun is C&R, not a handgun, and the buyer has both an 03 FFL + COE.
