This range is HUGE and the drive is beautiful! Park in the first lot to check-in (and take your range safety test if first time). Free eyes/ears rentals.

After check-in, drive down to the bays you want. I only use the 7-15 yard pistol range.

The RSOs here are fantastic and run the operation like a well oiled machine:
- Transport firearm from car to bay only when range is hot.
- 3 minute PA warning before ceasefire.
- On ceasefire, chamber flag your firearms for safety inspection (they provide them)
- RSO then declares range is cold for target swaps + cleaning brass.
- Repeat

Great process and sufficient range hot time. Did I mention you can rapid fire? You don't need a cert for this... just make sure you can actually hit your target, or else the RSO will take away that privilege from you.

Only other thing is as mentioned in my cons, bring your own d-lead wipes and care your neighbor's flying brass.

But this range is a solid S-tier and I'll be back!

Great range, especially in the morning with the fresh mountain air. Pistol/rimfire range has wooden target stands as well as metal plates. One of the range masters is over the top, and during the ceasefire said my gun was “flipped on the wrong side”. It’s a p320 that was resting on its right side and he was mad it wasn’t on the left side. Not a big deal but weird. I’ve been dozens of times and only had that experience once. The absolute best range in the Bay Area, worth the drive up hwy 9.

Started going here about a year ago and it’s by far one of my favorite ranges in the area besides Sunnyvale rod and gun. I love that they now have rapid fire and their shotgun ranges are absolutely beautiful and overlook the Santa Cruz mountains. Since I’ve been coming I’ve only had one range master who wasn’t kinda rude but other than that they’ve all been super nice. They also have free water bottles at every station. This place really does their best to make it a good experience like on my first time they gave me a free glasses and earplugs that I could take home as well as a free reactive target and when I went a couple weeks ago on my birthday they gave me a couple free stickers and an awesome patch it’s stuff like that that keeps me coming back.

We drove 1 hour to this place, and after parking, we were told to go to the office to register. Then the office staff just refused to help us. I'm still trying to figure out what we did wrong. If you planning to visit this place, please make sure to checkout the newest reviews.

What you did wrong was not even visiting the website before you went there’s a whole guide for new people who have not been there. If you had you would have seen the property map that shows where the office is and what is looks like as well as the fact that you NEED to check in there first. The fact that you think you did nothing wrong at all shows they were exactly right to kick you out. I wouldn’t want to shoot next to someone like you. Take some accountability.

There’s quite literally signs at the entrance to the range saying all visitors must check in at the office. Besides, what range have you been to that allows you to just walk in and not check in? Your review is like saying you went to a restaurant and were annoyed that you had to see the hostess. If this is stopping you from going to a range, I’m deeply concerned as to what kind of gun owner you are. Next time, look up the place you’re going to before you drive an hour
