Walther PDP SteelFrame Match 5"
Pros
  • Dynamic Performance Trigger
  • Soft recoil impulse
  • Heavy
Cons
  • Does not fit Polymer PDP holsters
  • Expensive
  • Grip Panels could be better
The PDP is a cross between the Glock and CZ platform combining some of the best features of both into one gun and adding Walther's best in class stock trigger. The Walther features the reliability and maintainability like the Glock with the feel of the heavier competition oriented CZ Shadow 2.

The trigger has a tactile feel and shoots very soft. The trigger guard is on the larger side which make my hand placement different than other firearms. This replaces the Walther Q5 Match Steel Frame at a higher price point. Is it worth the price? It's debatable but you do get a lot for the price. Are there cheaper options? Yes, but this is tailored for the competition/duty market.

The stock grips are aren't that great and I personally changed them to Lokgrips to get more of a purchase on the frame. The firearm is accurate and returns to zero very quick. It's going to take some time and practice to get more familiar with the handling of the firearm.

Stay tuned for an update later!
Walther PDP SF First Impressions
Pros
  • Soft recoil pulse
  • Weighted feel
  • Good Grip Ergonomics
  • Dynamic Trigger is Crisp
  • Removable Grip Panels
Cons
  • Lip near mag insert
  • Expensive
  • Stock Grip is not aggressive
  • Iron Sights are cheap
The Walther is more like the unholy union of a Glock and CZ. You get the reliability of a glock with the weight and feel of a CZ. This is pretty much what I was looking for.
