If you can somehow provide some infrastructure that provides ID confirmation for other websites in response to AB 1263, I think it would go a long way. Imagine if you did it for Brownell's, or some other huge vendor. The site traffic would take off. I mean, I just provided my credit card information, so there's already some compliance on the finance side of things with your site. I wonder how big you will get in the next year.

I like this idea. As California is going to put the pressure on for parts to only sell to 18+ and verify ID, I wonder if it's a service we can get through the site via a small fee

And another idea to take it a step further. If this site could potentially work like a PayPal type service where a seller can upload their CC or other payments. The site can hold onto the money until both the seller and buyer clicks an appropriate button to acknowledge the sell and the funds move to the seller.

I know this could be a large hurdle and burden for the site and would possibly take additional staff to manage disputes. Maybe a small fee to use the sites "PayPal" service. $5 from each party? It would certainly set the site apart from anything else and provide a measure of safety for both the seller and buyer.

I ran into way too many zero-feedback or new members who make an offer, and after I accept the offer, they disappear. I'd appreciate it if they could reply and state that they are no longer interested. Now, I ignore those types altogether.

Bringing this back up.. I'll likely start to put this into the documentation.. We already have users selecting this by choice in the classifieds to give priority to verified accounts.

I’m not quite following but then again I’m technology challenged.
Could there just be a “buy it now” button or “Make Offer” button kind of like EBay. Once clicked you are locked in to complete the transaction. I’ve contacted a seller twice about an item and no response. Maybe the “buy it now” triggers some notification when they log in or email or text to them.

I’m not sure how the technology would work but upon sale your site could keep a fee based on sale price or tiered of some kind. Say 1-2% from seller and 1-2% from buyer.

Sell a $1,500 rifle each person pays 1-2% ($15 or $30) each to the site.
Sell a $150 optic and the site gets $1.50 or $3.00 from each.
