I have some used 9mm mags I bought years ago and am finally getting around to using them. I am beginning to think I was sold a bill of goods:mad:. I am thinking they are a feed lip problem more than anything else, would like your take on this. If feed lip problem is there anywhere I can send them to get repaired or some instructions on how to do? Or would I be better off just tossing them and starting fresh?

What brand? Mags are always potentially problematic. My best luck has been w wilson

No manufacture stamp anywhere on mag. Just put one round in a Wislon mag and cannot duplicate the mag pic but did same in no name & can easily lift the built straight up. So that suggests mag lips.

Ed Brown recently changed their policy and will ship to California. They have a great magazine exchange program if you're inclined:

The form still shows they won't ship to California but that was back in the new year. They recently changed the policy.

Pics of the feed lips and followers of your magazine without ammo might help too.

I run Metalform 9mm 1911 mags with the spacer at the rear. No issues.

Those are not 9mm mags those are 45 mags. Left is a 9mm mag and right is a 45

38 super will have the same indentation but not pinned points at the rear. All 1911 mags that aren't 45 are based on the 45 mag but has the front indentation because they are shorter than 45

Thanks for jogging my brain. Holly :poop:. I don't have brain farts. I said it has been a while since playing with 1911s. Just put a 45 into mag in question and it is a 45 mag. I did not have1911 9mm way back then, damn. Thanks, guys, for your respponses.

All good man, glad to be of help. Always thank your local 1911 autist

Just in general though 9mm and 45 WC or Chip mags. Never had issues with either.
