I know a guy who knows a guy that claims Kimber is requesting all of the California 2k11's that have been sent out to be returned...

Anyone that can substantiate or deny?

Maybe you didn't notice the date of the OP. It was true, shops are getting the replacement 2k11's now.

Just bought a 2K11 Stainless Comp from The Gun Range, can confirm, priced at $1,850 before taxes. They also are shipping to my FFL in SoCal (albeit at a fixed shipping cost of $100), but even factoring for that, still much cheaper than anywhere I’ve seen in SoCal.

Where is this range?

They’re located in North Highlands, so Sacramento area.

Go south past the hookers by Dollar Tree and next to the crackhead Walmart you can't miss it

[Brandon Breeze]

Yup, I was over there earlier today. They still have the Stainless Comp in stock and ready! Now if they would just get the Coyote Target that would be great.
