40S&W or 10mm

I don't see the point of either today. Neither does law enforcement or the military. Added expense, added recoil, added muzzle blast, reduced capacity, more wear on you, more wear on the gun.
IMO it’s a solid backcountry camp gun. Like I said earlier for target stuff I’d choose a 45 or a 9mm. Cheaper easier to shoot.

But those won’t stand up to a 10mm full power load In the woods

To be fair, just because LE or military doesn't use it doesn't mean there's no point to it. What's the point of a sports car over an SUV or vice versa? Both get you from point A to B but in different ways. Neither one is necessarily pointless depending on what you want or need.

Those people shoot things to stop threats.

The caliber war was won by a lone caliber a long time ago. Buying 10mm or 40S&W today is like buying a fax machine or pager in the year 2025. But hey, it's a free country.

Facts have entered the chat.

Personally I like pistols chambered in 40s&w for the simple fact that with a barrel swap I can run either 9mm or 357sig (at least in my Glocks)
I have Glock 21SF and various conversion barrels for 10mm, 357 sig.
