870 Chisel Stock experiences

I’ve shot Vang Comp 870s, their shop does nice work. A reliability package, upgrading the extractor, polishing internals, loading and ejection ports is a solid upgrade.
Sent an 870 shotgun there for forcing cone lengthening and ports. Very nice, so nice in fact my kid took it lol 😂

Side note, I recommend the forcing cone lengthening if you shoot mostly buckshot. It gives the pellets a longer, smother transition into the bore which results in less pellet deformation which equaled tighter, more predictable shot patterns at distance. Also equates to less felt recoil.

Would not do the porting again, works well, but a pain to clean wading, carbon, etc build up out of all the small port holes.

For what it's worth, Eric, my reply was actually meant for your first respondent (Experimentalist) who appeared vexed by the misunderstanding of the Chisel reference.

My "Let me Google that for You" was an attempt to illustrate that the access to clarification could be had, with not much effort.

I try not to jump to conclusions here because it's obvious that we all have varying levels of experience and familiarity. It's also too easy to misinterpret how a message was meant to be conveyed, so I won't take offense. I have no problem with seeking advice or input from fellow members who may have a worthwhile perspective. I've done so and gotten good results.. Carry on.

My bad, brother. I appreciate the thoughtful response.

Where's the group hug emoji? 🤗

To be fair I'm recovering from a double dose of mRNA vaccine, plus I came down with the actual flu at the same time. Hoping my observations weren't too brusque.
