Account unable to do anything, related to classifieds?

It says read the rules, but there are no rules to click on, cant find them in any section and to top it off, I can't click on a single discussion anyways,

I dont even know what it wants, back on calguns, usually when you sell a gun you delete the ad or erase the price, are we not allowed to do that? I dont remember any of this, and can't access any post to "correct" the listing, but what post is it talking about? Was it decided you dont change the dollar amount? What if you lowered it to sell, anyways- have no idea what is being asked here and why the account cant click on anything, a message would be nice- but we get locked out, seems like a middle school timeout

the error is self explanatory. no they dont want you removing the price after a sale, or the ad itself

• Do not remove title, description, price after a sale.

if you lower the price, you can set a "sale price" on the ad, or just lower it to around what you want to sell it for, but dropping it entirely is a no. They want market history here. seems they want you to go to your old classified ad and put the price back to what it was, but im not a mod.

the rules are currently buried in Resources -> FAQ. it would be nice if the site had a separate "rules" section stickied, cus even my IT oriented ass had to think of where to find it for a sec

Pretty self explanatory... This message is sent to every user in their inbox when they sign up. I can't spoon feed people and like the message says, too many people were doing it so we decided to automate it.

I've removed the restriction but if it's not fixed, you'll get locked out again.

If you want to partake in the discussion... I've adjusted the permissions when you receive the restriction. We're moving more towards automated checks, since "moderation" was a problem. Having a bot do certain tasks makes enforcement consistent and unbiased.

When our volunteer moderators are brought in, we want to make it easy for them. Just move things around and maintain the vibe. We can be the bad cop.

I do think its a good idea to leave for reference and hopefully I fixed em up as best as I can remember but sometimes people like privacy and I think that was the case. I've been here for a bit and never saw those rules (where the classified rules recently changed?), so unless they bounced out to everyone- its hard to have people see the fine print. Most people probably come and just use the classifieds and do not read the gen information. I went through and looked at the resources section to make sure I know whats up (I guess the site did decide an emoji is all we can do on classified ads), however, I did see something that I do not fully agree with on the general rules for guns and it states this at the end:

I believe california's gun laws are not designed with promoting public safety but more of a authoritarian approach. All the dictators (Newsom wishes he didn't have to have the 2nd am at all) take away guns. How is it possible to respect rights when some guys here say they are over 2 years into the CCW process, and I couldn't believe another guy said his county wont allow any single action guns to be carried (no 1911's). Even the 10 round magazines has been proven in court that its not enough if you have a couple assailants (sure that won't apply 99% of the time, but what if you are that 1 or 0.1% that needs a few more rounds?) and you might need more capacity. Anyways, I just thought it could be worded more harshly towards what california is doing. Remember, until it was stuck down- any gun added to the roster they would take away 3 guns, which would ultimately lead to no guns on the roster - that is not promoting public safety. Just an observation I made on that post in the resource section.

I'm updating the site and adding moderators. Up until now, we've been constantly adding new features and documentation hasn't kept up. Usually this is in your mailbox from @doser with instructions on how to create a listing. I see you signed up in mid April, so that might be before we started that process. At the time you signed up the site was a month old, so thanks for being a relative OG here. We're rough around the edges, but recently added on another moderator and will likely add a couple more. The new version of the site will experiment with AI moderators/support as a first line. All the parts are there, next step is putting it all together. Then documentation can be made available and accessed anytime with the Support Agent that will reply to you with all the relevant information, hopefully.

Things are changing constantly here. You got hit by one of the changes, and thanks for working with us on it. Feedback is only available to members and may be moved to only verified members after the upgrade or mods. I'm trying to convince the developer to make the adjustment for me. This will limit the exposure to people who have been verified. I have another feature in development to clean up some loose ends there.

I like to think in good faith that's the intention as misguided as it is.

We're only getting started. Next month will be our 1 year anniversary. We'll announce winners for our latest prizes. OC slide coating & CAguns shirt & Stickers & more. It seems like we've been around for awhile but we're just gonna be 1. This site went live March 20, 2024.
