to all the people who have an acro p2 ... why? What made y'all choose it over other optics. Does anyone else agree that the acro is not only ugly , but there are so many better options? Ths window is really small with thick borders. The sro, rmr, even the holosun 509 comp look so much better. Acro looks like a mailbox lol.

I don't own an Acro p2, but they look pretty cool to me. I like the blocky look, it suits Glocks and HK's well.

They look cool tbh, though I don't know if I would want one. It's a duty optic, like the Trijicon RCR or RMR etc it's designed to be tough to impacts and hold zero no matter what. A lot of the optics you are looking at aren't as durable

I own a couple and would buy more. The COA is significantly better. I own a used Comp M4 and had to send them back to Aimpoint. They covered the repairs. Again this was used and the damage was my own stupidity. They didn't care they paid shipping and covered the repair. That's worth a lot.

Love Aimpoint on my rifles but rmrc on my double stack glocks- I’ve always disliked how the standard rmr hangs over on a double stack Glock. I opted to fit the rmrc so it sits right. I felt the Acro is too bulky on pistols.

I personally hate the way they look & the window size is so small in comparison. My biggest issue is that I have seen a number of them fail or break, and some of the guys I work with have had issues with theirs as well.

On the other side of that, some people swear by them and they run flawlessly.

As you said, I just think there are better options.

It's an optic... For a weapon... "looks retarded"? Seriously? They are reliable, durable and don't fog up. The batteries last forever. Who cares if it looks like a toaster oven?

Wait, I’m supposed to be choosing my gear based on looks? šŸ’©, I’ve been doing it wrong šŸ˜‘

Well I think all optics look terrible, but it does serve a purpose. Perfect optic for an ugly gun.

Have you seen Brian's full rail 1911? He looks so F-ing stupid I can't breathe.

The main benefit of the acro is the footprint, if it's milled for acro it clamps directly on the slide with no screws to break. But if you need a plate the benefits are a wash and it's just expensive.

Don't have one on a pistol but I have one on my Benelli M4 on a sync mount.

Looks and functions fine for me.

As to why? Because it is a tough optic and from one of the best companies for optics.
