AK 47 Underfolder Fake Suppressor Legal?

Hey guys, noob here! I wanted to know if I can put a fake suppressor into my fixed underfolder stock AKs and fold the stock? Can it be done with a fixed mag or with the ca legal grip if the fake suppressor is pinned and fixed into the barrel? Is it going to be legal in CA bay area, am I going to get into trouble if I do that ?

This is mine bought it this way folding stock is pinned open.... when I go out I put on my featureless grip or at least have it in my back pocket.
A featureless grip will work with that set up except you need to pin the stock open,, it's not the fake can that's the problem needs to be at least 30"OAL min Fixed stock in CA.

Hey Striker, thanks for the comment. I have the classic fixed underfolder AKM. Just badly wanted to fold the stock on it. Im curious if I just add the fake suppressor that adds 7 inch length which totals the length to 32inches which is again CA compliant. The main question is how can I make the fake suppressor fixed and pinned into the barrel without damaging it.

You can send it to a gunsmith or
1. A hole needs to be drilled through the suppressor and into the side of the barrel just enough to not let the fake can be taken off with the pin in.

2. 1/16 inch diameter pin is what I use made of steel pushed in long enough to go through the fake can and into the barrel then a spot weld is applied and it is usually done on the bottom underneath the can and your done!

I did mine because I have the equipment but go to the gunsmith section and post what you need done someone will steer you in the right direction.

Even with the perm attached fake can to keep the gun over 30" when folded, the folding stock is still a feature so you have to go to a fixed magazine as well to have any features.

(a) Notwithstanding Section 30510, “assault weapon” also means any of the following:
(1) A semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that does not have a fixed magazine but has any one of the following:
(A) A pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon.
(B) A thumbhole stock.
(C) A folding or telescoping stock.
(D) A grenade launcher or flare launcher.
(E) A flash suppressor.
(F) A forward pistol grip.

You can not do featureless AND have a folding stock even if the gun is over 30" folded.
